¶ Introduction
The clans system is another fun way to compete but as a group with some commonality.
Some clans have extra traits beyond the clan tag beside your name.
¶ Terminology
- PP: Performance points.
- Raw PP: A numerical measure of the skill of a particular score on a ranked or qualified map.
- Clan Capture PP: The amount of PP a clan has on a particual map. Used to determine the controlling clan for that map.
- Clan order: The order of clans for a player with importance from left to right.
- Primary Clan: The first clan in the clan order from left to right. A players primary clan is what appears beside their name on the leaderboard and has a 🏠 (house) icon.
¶ Claiming maps
Maps can be claimed by clan members.
The controlling clan is the clan with the most Map Capture PP
Players can only contribute PP to their primary clan.
¶ Calculations
The Clan Capture PP for a specific clan on a specific map is calculated based on the player map PP and their position on the leaderboard within their clan.
Before PP contributions towards a clan is calculated, players are first sorted into their primary clan.
Then within each clan for that map; players are ordered according to their raw PP, weighed, and then added to the clans Clan Capture PP

¶ Support/Troubleshooting
¶ Joining a clan
To join a clan, you need to recieve an invite from the clan leader. There's no "request to join" button at this time.
Often you can find the clan's contact information on the clan page.
¶ Inviting players to your clan
To invite a player, simply:
- Goto their profile
- Find the group icon to the left of their profile picture
- Click the button.
- Wait for the player to accept the invite.
¶ Changing Primary Clan
Primary Clans can only be changed once every week.
To change your primary clan, you need to be signed in to your BL account on the website.
- Goto your profile either by seaching your name or pressing the
Mebutton at the top. - Press the edit button at the bottom right of your profile card.
- Click and drag the clan tags in the order you prefer.
- Save.
¶ Leaving a clan
To leave a clan, navigate to the clan page and press the "Leave clan" button; it will ask for confirmation.
¶ Transferring clan ownership
Ownership transferring is only done on a case by case basis and must be approved by the current clan owner.
To start the transfer process, make a request in the #help channel in the BeatLeader discord detailing the situation.

¶ BB
The British Boys clan was made to compete against the "Basically Some Canadians" BSC clan (according to the clan page in November 2023).
Members have a subtle rain effect on their profile page.
¶ BTM (Bottom)
Created by Lun, this clan is for anyone that likes collars.
Members have a pink collar overlayed on their pfp on their profiles.
¶ BSFR (Beat Saber FR)
Created by Vred, this clan is home to many french players and has their signature baguettes on their profiles 🥖
Members have baguettes raining down in the background on their profiles.
¶ DUH (Duh)
Named after the popular Norwegian player DuhHello, this clan is a meme dedication clan towards the player. The clan features a photo edited picture of Jesus Christ with Duh's face edited on top.
The clan's page has "Players" replaced with Prayers 🙏
¶ FELA (The Fellas)
The Fellas is a clan founded by M1ddle.
Their clan page shows off their collab map.
Members have a youtube embed of the song of said collab on their profiles (pc only).
¶ Gay (Gay Furry)
The Gay Furry clan is one of the OG clans.
Members have rainbow effects applied to their:
- Profile page:
- Name.
- Clan tags.
- Ranking page
- Player entry's text becomes rainbow when hovering over it.
¶ JML (Jamal)
The Jamal clan is also apart of the OG clans founded by unluckyL.
Their clan page uses the unit of Jamal to convey their stats
- Players -> Jamals
- Average rank -> Jamal
- Average acc -> Jamal
- Total PP -> Jamal
¶ OOTK (Ootkoklaani)
The Ootkoklaani (Ootko Clan) is a Finnish clan founded by KultainenAnkka and has many words on their clan page replaced with Finnish references (very rough translation in brackets) such as:
- Players -> varmaa (for sure)
- Average rank -> Ootko Ränkki (Ootko Rank)
- Average acc -> Ootko Äcc (Ootko Acc)
- Total PP -> Pepe emote
¶ SOUP (Soup Cartel)
The Soup Cartel is a clan for the members of the Soup Cartel mapping group.
The clan page has bowls of soup raining from above.
Members have a rain of bowls of soup icons on their profiles.
¶ THUP (Thumbs up 👍)
The Thumbs up clan was made by UglyApe for his love of 👍
Members have a 👍 to the right of their profile picture on the profile page.
¶ WYSI (When You See It)
The When You See It clan is another OG clan by PICNIC.
Members have their stats visually replaced with 727.
